Confidential Contact Person

At The Student Dance Factory we care a lot about your wellbeing, both physically and socially. We want to make sure every member feels safe, respected and supported in our community.
This is why SDF and Thymos give you access to confidential contact persons. These are people you can go to who can help you find the right person to talk to when you or someone you know is experiencing or has experienced unwanted or unacceptable behaviour.

A CCP will help you to work out a strategy best suited to you and your situation. You decide the next steps when talking to a CCP. They will help you work out a plan of action but will not do anything without your knowledge. And of course, everything you tell is confidential.

What is unacceptable behaviour?

Unwanted or unacceptable behaviour can be many different things such as discrimination, bullying, (sexual) harassment, threats, stalking or gossiping, both online and offline. Even if it is very subtle, unwanted or unacceptable behaviour can still have a great impact on your feeling of safety and your pleasure in dancing.

Currently, we have no CCP within SDF but thymos as well as the WUR and Wageningen Municipality have CCP’s you can reach out to when you feel unsafe.

Tristan Maas and Elsa Geerts are the CCPs of THYMOS. You can contact them when you or someone you know is experiencing unwanted or unacceptable behaviour while dancing.

you can read more from them and how to contact them here

Wageningen University also has Confidential Advisors (VAs). These VAs are professionals, unlike VCPs (often volunteers who have completed training). You can reach the VAs at vpstudent@wur.nl. For more information, please contact the confidential advisor.

The Municipality of Wageningen Also has two CCPs you can reach out to. You can reach them at vertrouwenscontactpersoon@vcwageningen.nl. More information can be found on the VC wageningen Website.
